1955 Martin 00-17 guitar was obviously owned by someone with no knowledge of vintage Martin guitars.
What's wrong with it? Let me count the ways. The pickguard was removed. There's a dent and a crack on the top. The entire exterior of the guitar has been sprayed over, including the fretboard and bridge. The tuners are not original and the headstock logo was sanded away. It doesn't look like much but, surprisingly, still sounds pretty good.
This guitar would make a good project, or can be used as a bang around guitar; a thief probably wouldn't give this 62 year old Martin a second look. :)
